The Long and Winding Road to San Fran!

I wanted to pop on to my blog quickly and say "Hi" to everyone.

Given that I am a new Empty Nester and given that I have been a stay at home Mom for the past 25 years I decided to take my new camera (will she ever shut up about that one) and myself on a little road trip to San Fran. to visit my Daughter and take her some of her boxes that were clogging up our attic. I also took some of my art work to hang on the walls in her new apartment.

I had a really great trip (more about that another day!) Lots of Mother/Daughter bonding, lots of wine drinking, eating outside, walks by the bay in the sunshine..............

And yes, I did take a ridiculous amount of photos, I will share some soon.

Santa came early to our House! :)

YAY ME!!!!!! Here I go again! I am SOOOOOOOO excited :) I have been looking at upgrading my camera for a long time. But the guilt of spending a large amount of money on myself kept getting in the way of actually getting down and purchasing a camera but this weekend, as I am in a wonderful, blissful creative mode, I decided to bite the bullet, thru caution to the wind (ok, that would be sense!) and go ahead and buy a really good camera. One I will keep forever (that is me justifying the expense, can you tell? :) So here it is. My new Baby! (and yes, I am going to name her :) She is so pretty and has so many gadgets, buttons, instructions, it might be a while before I take any actual photos, let alone that will be worth viewing. So, I will keep you posted on my progress and if anyone has any advice on using this camera I would love some pointers to get started. Now, I have to find the Dummies guide, seriously, at the bottom of the bag that should help me in switching the camera on, right????
