FRIDAY FLOWERS! :)

Happy Friday Everyone! :)

I really hope you have all had a wonderful week :)

I, for one, am really glad it is the Weekend and am looking forward to having a little fun :)

(Which of course will include a little picture taking :)

A few weeks ago I was driving around our neighbouring hill (Pete's Mountain) when I saw a field of Wild Lupins with a small cluster of California Poppies, I just had to stop and take a couple of shots (photos people, no drinking on the job :) for you :)

I hope you enjoy! :)

Some Late Summer Roses :)
The last 3 pics are of the Mimosa Tree that graces our front Garden. It looks very pretty with its fluffy blossoms and long fern like leaves and smells divine but it is one of the messiest Trees on the planet. I guess that is the price you pay for beauty (He! He!)

I hope you have enjoyed seeing some of the lovely Flowers in my neighbourhood and especially my Garden this Summer, we are getting close to the end but I do have a few more little treats for you in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned.

Have a Wonderful Weekend :)

Happy Painting/Creating! :) T.

Beautiful flowers! I lived in Texas for 21 years and the spring always brought fields and fields of Bluebonnets!

Oh, that first one is stunning! My neighborhood was much less colorful this summer. I guess because of the record breaking temps and lack of rain! At least I have your gorgeous flowers to look at!!! :) Have a great weekend, T. !!!!

Patty, I actually bought one once to plant in my garden but they are very fragile and difficult to grow so of course it didn't last long in my garden :(

But I will keep an eye out for one, don't see them very often.

Have a lovely weekend, T. :)

Another gorgeous bouquet of floral photos !
Absolutely love the lupins; they grow wild in the hills and mountains of California. I sure miss those lovely blue-purple spikes. Also miss the California poppies that would blanket the hillsides in a carpet of pure gold, the deep red branches of the manzanita shrubs and fiery flower spikes of the Indian Poker... but most of all I just miss the hills and the mountains and the breathtaking steep cliffs that dropped abruptly to the crashing Pacific waves of the North California coastline.
Ah yes, you can take the girl out of California but you can't take California out of the girl...sigh.
