Mixed Up Monday!

Happy Monday Everyone :)

I wanted to introduced you all to the newest member of our family "OLAF" :) His creator Christy Runyan displays her work at my fav. art gallery here in Portland, the Attic Gallery if you are in town you should popped in and say "Hi" they are a friendly bunch and have the best selection of art in town.

He seems to be settling in very well :)

My Blogger Buddy Kelli from Bug Miscellany Blog is such a sweetheart, she gave my Blog When T. Rules The World the blogger award below, thanks Kelli you are awesome :)

She wrote a lovely blog post last week about how her parents have inspired her it was very moving, check it out HERE

I do not think I could be quite so eloquent. I am inspired by my Children and I feel very blessed to have them. :)

On a different note, Guess who came to dinner the other night?!?!?!

Yep, a family of skunks!

Can you believe it, in my suburban garden, now I think I have seen everything. You know growing up in suburban England the wildest thing I ever saw in our garden was a Hedgehog. But since living in America I have seen in my Garden, Rattle snakes, Possums, Raccoons, Deer, Coyotes, Bats and now Skunks, who needs to go to the Zoo :)

I know the photos are not up to the usual quality but chasing these guys around the garden to get a shot was tough, a point and shoot might have been a better camera to use for this task.

Anyway, it was entertaining and you have to admit they are rather cute :)

I also wanted to share with you the
Dear Darlings pen pal project over at Oh My Darling Blog

Melissa, has set up groups of people who want to be pen pals, yes actually write REAL letters to each other, if you are interested in joining, click the Dear Darlings link and get started, she would love to hear from you :)
And Lastly, I wanted to let you know that in the month of August I am having a sale of all my Rose Prints in my Etsy Photography Shop :)
Any 8 x 8, 8 x 10, or 8 x 12 Rose Print for just $10.00 that is a 60% savings. Get a jump start on those Holiday gifts. Who doesn't love flowers that will last forever :)

Have a great start to the week :)

Happy Painting/Creating! :) T.

Olaf is so cute, I love the polka dot boots :) That's great that you found the positivity of seeing skunks by taking such cute photos of them! The pen pal sounds like fun :)

The skunk family is really cute and I'm impressed that you were so brave. Nobody wants to get a skunk upset as they do pack a pretty potent weapon, one that stays around for quite some time. LOL

Christy Runyan's snowman creation is just too adorable. I bet Olaf is going to be very popular with your family this coming Christmas.

Oh, I love that snowman - look at those boots!

Skunks are cute, they are but they are tricky. They will seriously stink you up ;-) That makes them not so cute!

Oh my - in the last week one of the boys almost got run over ( in our yard) by a deer, my husband almost hit a COYOTE,we've seen 2 foxes and guinea hens and turkeys. I was driving down the street looked next to my car and a whole family of deer ran beside me ! I'm only in CT !!! Last year the boys saw a family of skunks in the back yard. They were looking out the basement door and I asked them what they were looking at...oh just a skunk... WHAT !!!.....so they slammed the door and PFFFFFFFFFT ......the house smelled like skunk for DAYS !!!

You are a dangerously close to those cute little buggers. Brave woman, or clueless... not sure haha

here's a tip: if you get sprayed next time you are supposed to bathe in tomato juice. let us know how that works for you.... hee hee

I've also heard that skunks will tear up your garden, digging and eating your roots and bulbs. Being cute must be Gods way of making us keep them around. ;-)

Love the snowman! And I live in suburban Ohio, but with farmland all around. In my back yard or on my patio I've had, oppossums, raccoons, snakes, coyotes, deer on the road out front, and an albino squirrel! No skunks yet. They are adorably, stinky cuteness.

Hmmm...I can't decide who's cuter, Olaf or the baby skunks. They're both pretty stinkin' cute. Though I'm thinkin' Olaf might not be as stinkin' as the baby skunks

On another note, I ALMOST had a trip to Portland next weekend. It fell through, but maybe in October.

sorry I haven't been over in awhile. I was out of town, not bathing, immersed in woodsmoke and hotdogs, you name it. My skin still smells of sunblock! Anyhoo, lolve the skunkies. If only they didn't smell like peppy Le Pew.

More Later!
