Love the cool colors in these lovely vintage pieces, they are beautiful.

The best Birthday Party I ever went to was many years back, perhaps 20, perhaps more. It was the 90th birthday of a lively old guy that was absolutely full of life and fun. The evening was incredible, his friends and family rented a ballroom, had the affair catered, a live band was there and what seemed like most of the city was invited. Old Bret danced with the ladies, joked with everybody and had a wonderful time. Made me realize that age is only a state of mind. :)

The best birthday party I ever went too was about two years ago - and the lovely woman ended up getting engaged! She was so happy - and so excited, as I was too for her! Congrats on a successful year! :) BTW- those earrings are so cute! :) Proud follower! :)

Hmmm... The most fun birthday party I've ever attended. I'll have to think a moment. I'd have to say my son's 1st. I waited so long for him to come along in my life. Just the shear look of joy on his face will always bring a tear to my eye and swells my heart with love.

Happy belated blog birthday! I'm a new follower. Best birthday party I ever went to was one of my elementary school parties, which was Babysitter's Club themed. I loved the book, so we dressed as characters from it and had related activities. omydarlingblog(at)gmail(dot)com

First, Happy Birthday to Poppy Place PDX. The best birthday was my own when I was a little girl and I got one of those cakes which is actually a big hoop dress built around a Barbie doll. It was magical....

I now follow your incredible blog- I have to say my favorite birthday party was when I was 10 years old. My parents rented out the pool at the YMCA. My friends and I thought it was pretty awesome to swim indoors in the middle of January! ready4h2o@yahoo.com

I love the colour of this piece!

The best birthday party I ever went to was one that my parents planned for me when I was little. They threw a big tea party themed birthday and we got to go to a little farm and make apple pies and chocolates and play with all the bunnies and other baby animals.

~*HaPpY BlOgDaY*~ : D .....The best birthday was the birthday my husband actually threw me a surprise party ! First I've never been surprised and usually figure stuff out. Second I am not a big birthday celebrator - my mother never did parties or any of that so I actually feel a bit odd making a big deal of it. But he did the menu, guests and figured out how to get me out of the house !Conversely I love throwing my kids parties of course the best part is the goodie bag !

Those rhinestones are hypnotizing me ! Love the color !!!

Happy Bloggity-birthday to you!!

Probably my 6 yr old's birthday at the bowling alley. The owners put bumpers in the gutters, turned on the dance music & let the kids go nuts.A group of sugared up kindergarteners trying to out bowl each other was absolutely priceless

Love your blog, thanks Artsnark for pointing it out to me! Gosh, if I just make the "next" birthday that's the best one for me. But I guess my favorite was when DH turned 50. He'd never ever ever had a birthday party. I couldn't believe it! And his Mom was a sainte, but he said no BD parties. So we had a huge family/friend surprise barbq right here at the house and everyone brought gifts. We usually say "no gifts" we just like the friendship. But I didn't put that on these invitations. He had the best time, so I had the best time!

The best birthday I went to was as a kid. It was a disney sleep over with great food, and tons of fun games. We were kind of poor, so my mom couldn't throw big parties with tons of kids. I always looked foward to going to other kids' birthdays!

I am follower of your blog. The most remarkable and interesting birthday party was b.party of my friend when he turned 50. there were 200 people and the b.party was outside in the nature, at the natural shooting range (he is a biathlon trainer). so all of us had a chance to compete in shooting and had a lot of fun.

Hey Poppy!

I'm already a blog follower!

The best birthday party I ever went to was the year my father-in-law turned 50 and his sons (my husband and his brother) all wrote him a song and performed it on stage in the restaurant. Everyone had tears in the eyes. It was beautiful.

Hi Poppy! I'm a new follower. I think the best birthday party I've been to would be a recent one for a dear friend, where we filled her lovely loft with colourful helium balloons, decorated with loads of peonies, and also had a rooftop bbq. It was delightful! Just like this blog and giveaway!

What a cool giveaway! I am one of your followers and would love to win such a treasure!

The best birthday party I ever attended was this month for my own birthday. We went with another couple to a Portland supper club called Tony Starlight's. This place is authentically modeled after the old supper clubs my parents visited in the 60's.

We danced to magnificent music in the gypsy swing jazz style, had a great dinner, and not too many drinks. It really rocked!

Happy birthday to your blog! :D

The best birthday party I went to was simple...but so much fun!
I grew up in the country, so of course a barn was involved. We had fun on the 4 wheelers, kicking back in the hay stacks and of course, the guys got into a mud wrestling competition.

Simple and so very country...my home town fun!
