A few weeks ago my Hubby and I went on a trip to Southern Oregon. Part of that trip including staying at the Lodge at Crater Lake. As much as I am not a snow bunny Crater Lake has been on my "To Do" list for most of the 25 years I have lived in the Northwest. So, this year I decided to make sure I crossed off a few items on that list and I am so glad I did. :)
Here are a few of the nearly 800 photos I took of the Lake :)
Crater Lake is part of the Cascade Mountain Range. It was created when Mount Mazama erupted and the crater filled with water. It is known for the intense blue of the water and it's high elevation. We were there on the first Day of Summer and it was snowing. Also, one of the roads around the lake was still not open. Banks of snow lined the one that was open (pics to follow another day :)If you want to read more about this beautiful Lake go HERE :)
