Bear Fest, Grants Pass, Oregon.

Happy Wednesday Everyone! :)

Continuing on our trip in Southern Oregon, we stopped in Grants Pass for a few hours. I love it when we stumble across unexpected treasures and this for me was one of those days.

Bear Fest is a public outdoor art display. Local artists create these amazing Bears and they are displayed thru out the local area.

I Hope you enjoy the 2010 Wild Bunch :)

I couldn't decide whether the Pirate or the Monumental Bear was my fav. They are all amazingly detailed (click on images to see closer detail)

Apparently, these guys live for part of the year at the "Bear Hotel" I am definitely planning to go see that the next time I am in Grants Pass :)

I am a big Harley Fan and to see these big Art Bears on Harleys was amazing. It really made my day. Fun, Fun, Fun!
I Hope they added a little joy to your day.
Happy Painting/Creating! :) T.

I was in Grants Pass yesterday. We went on a jet boat ride...so fun! You should definitely put that on your to-do list for next time.

Hmm, guess I must be having blogspot troubles again. I swear I posted my comment yesterday. Oh well maybe I didn't wait for the word verification as some blogs have it and some don't and some times it just takes blogspot awhile to download the word verification and I then think there isn't one...and well you can guess the results of that story.
I had recalled that in Sisters there was a Harley shop called Bears and Roses. It always caught my eye as I never equated Bears with Harleys before. Also made me remember the Black Bear Diner...a northwest coast diner chain that John and I would always stop at when we're out that way. We haven't been out in that neighborhood much since John's mom passed away (she lived up in Bend ... so did my mom before she moved to St. George Utah).

Anyway the menagerie of artistic bears is marvelous, what a wonderful display.
