Pretty Pink Peonies From My Garden :)

Hi All :)

I hope you are well and life is treating you kindly :)

Well, again the weather here in the Pacific Northwest has been frustratingly wet :(

It is always challenging for me as a Gardener seeing, earlier in the season, first my Daffs and then my Tulips bashed by the rain and then over the past few weeks seeing my Poppies and now my Peonies smushed. After all the hard work it is sometimes almost soul destroying.

Usually I hope that there will be a dry spell and the flowers will get to bloom to their full glory in the garden but watching the weather forecast on the local news the other night it was predicting rain for days and my Peonies were just about to hit full bloom, so I got out my trusty pruners and decided I was going to enjoy these gorgeous flowers in the house!!! (Shaking my fist, with pruners attached, at the menacing clouds above, as I went on my way, LOL! :)

So, of course I couldn't resist taking some photos of the Beautiful Pink Peonies to share with you all :)

They smell amazing too :)

Enjoy!!! :)

This Weekend it is going to be 84 degrees and so I need to go shake off all the raindrops from the flowers so they don't scorch! Seriously, they are more demanding than little kiddies, LOL!!! :)

Have a lovely Evening :)

Happy Painting/Creating! :) T.

Gorgeous Teresa! I love peonies. Growing up in Canada I remember them well. Sadly her in So Cal in our area, it's much too hot for them. :-( That and lilacs - those have to be the 2 flowers I miss most.

Gorgeous pictures!

Yes yes yes - LOVE peonies though my plant died on me (bitch of a plant!) I think ironically it was too cold here for it.
They are gorgeous and your photos totally do them justice - good for you for getting them in before mother nature had another tizzy fit!

Love the photos! I really like how the red ribbon on the vase pops next to them. Great shots! And you are right, they do smell good!

Oh, I love peonies and their heavenly scent. I don't have them now, but when I did, I always prayed that it wouldn't rain so they would bloom for as long as possible. It always rained though!
The photos are beyond gorgeous! :)
Have a great weekend, my friend!

Wonderful photos. Amazingly large flowers from such compact buds. Great stuff.

I'm so glad you had the foresight to clip these and bring them inside so you could enjoy them! They are gorgeous! I discovered two peony bushes in my new yard this year, but only one bud came out and it barely bloomed and was sorta brown on the edges. Not enough water, perhaps? Maybe next year we should trade weather :)

Gorgeous ! I've always loved the peony flowers -- sort of like a rose only frillier, and prettier. :) That shade of pink, tipped in white is too pretty for words, but then you know what they say . . . a picture is worth a thousand words. :)
