Beautiful Koi! :)

Last Week, part of our trip took us to Southern Oregon. It was the first week in forever the sun actually graced our State, YAY!

We stayed at a lovely Inn for a couple of nights, the Ashland Creek Inn in the Edinburgh Suite it was beautiful and relaxing and comfortable, 3 things I really need on a vaca! (yep, I need more things than that but this was a great start :) If you are ever in need of a place to stay in Ashland Oregon, I highly recommend this Inn :)

They had a beautiful Koi pond in the pretty garden and I took a LOT of photos of these guys just cruising around, what a life! The light on the pond was so awesome and I was mesmerized completely.

Hope you enjoy these guys as much as I did :)

Have a Wonderful Monday :)
Happy Painting/Creating! :) T.

Glad you enjoyed your trip! I love the first photo, it almost looks like the shot was taken underwater.

I agree with you,the lighting on the pond is fascinating making the Koi seem to almost glow ! It's odd how watching fish can be so relaxing, I can gaze at an aquarium for hours just watching the fish as they swim leisurely up and down and back and forth...much like watching the flickering flames in a campfire or fireplace. Perhaps it does have something do with a hypnotic quality of the movement ?

T, Yesss it is wonderful that the sun has decided to shine on us. We had a great time at our family BBQ last night, good food and lots of sunshine.
I love your Koi pictures! Are they going to show up on your Etsy? Enjoy our weather. Evie

Mmmmm...I love koi fish. They just beg to be shot (w/a camera, of course) or painted, don't they? That last picture would make a fantastic painting. The movement in the water is wonderful.

BTW, do you EVER stay at home? Seems like you're always off on some great getaway. My envy of your life and your garden continues to grow.

Lovely photos !!! We have a pet store near us with a huge koi / fish pond and they let you feed them - it's a great rainy day trip. They just draw you in .
